  1. Q: Will WatchThatPage monitor all the pages on a site?
A: No. Only the specific pages you add to your profile. The reason is that some sites like Sun or Microsoft contains thousands of pages, and it would be too hard to go through all the pages every day. In most cases it would not be in your interest to receive all the changes from a site either, due to the volume of some of the sites.

  2. Q: Can I get a separate email for each page I monitor?
A: This is up to you. You can choose to collect all your changes into one email, divide them in two or more emails, or have one email for each change. To enable more than one email, you must use channels. Read more about channels. Most people find it more useful to collect the changes into one or a few emails, as it will be easier to read all the changes in one go.

  3. Q: What kind of pages can I monitor?
A: Any page that uses the HTTP or the HTTPS protocol and is reachable from the Internet. This includes pages with Dynamic HTML, forms etc., but not pages using SSL. You can not monitor FTP pages (starting with ftp://), or links that point directly to a PDF (or similar) document.

  5. Q: Can I monitor stock quotes?
A: Yes, but you need a provider that enables you to send the ticker in as a part of the URL. Netscape is one example of such a provider. The URL you will need to add would look something like this:
    http://channels.netscape.com/ns/pf/detailed_quote.jsp?TickerSymbols=msft
where msft is the ticker symbol for Microsoft.

  6. Q: Can I monitor a missing page?
A: No. When you add new pages to your profile, WTP will check to see if the page exists, and download the initial page. This will also make sure you didn't make any typing errors, making you believe you monitored the page of interest.

  7. Q: Can I get notified when the change contains certain keywords?
